Thursday, September 22, 2011 At 1149 Hrs, Bridgewater Police dispatched Finderne Fire to USHY 22 West near Mountain Ave for the reported vehicle fire. Engine 102 went into service and arrived on an unoccupied fully involved vehicle fire. The crew stretched an 1 1/2" foam line and started to attack the fire while simultaneously opening the hood of the vehicle with the Hurst tool to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment. The crew made quick work of the fire and went back into service within 20 minutes.
Wednesday, September 21, 2011 Just past 10 am, Finderne's FAST was requested to standby at Elizabeth Ave Sta. 26 while they were operating at a 2nd alarm structure fire. Rescue 1 responded and stood by along with 23 Truck from Bound Brook. All units stood by for approx. 1 hr until Rescue 1 took in a CO alarm at the Parks and Forestry building on Canal Rd with Engine 442 from Middlebush. After clearing the Co alarm, Finderne units returned back to Bridgewater.
Sunday, September 18, 2011 At 1942 hrs, Finderne Fire was dispatched into Bound Brook for the working structure fire with victim hanging in the window. Engine 102 and Truck 30 responded to the scene where 3 subjects had already been taken from the house. After the interior crews made entry into the fire room, the final victim was located. The subject was unresponsive and removed from the building, then turned over to EMS. Engine 101 was redirected to the Somerset Patriots Stadium for a landing zone for the last victim. Finderne units remained on scene for approx. a hour before returning back to service. Units on scene with Finderne Fire included Bound Brook Fire, South Bound Brook Fire, Somerset Fire, Bound Brook Rescue Squad, 3 Somerset BLS Units, 3 Somerset MICU Units (The Hogans), NJSP Medevac, and the Bound Brook Police Department.

Friday, September 16, 2011 At 1941 hrs, Finderne Fire was dispatched along with Bound Brook Fire to 290 West Main St. in Bound Brook, for the reported vehicle fire with extension into the garage. Finderne's Engine 102, Truck 30 and Bound Book Engine 1 responded. On arrival the vehicle was no longer on fire and did not extend into the garage. All units cleared the scene within 15 minutes.
Tuesday, September 13, 2011 Rescue 1 was requested into Somerville for the MVA with entrapment at the intersection of Grove St. and William St. The Rescue responded and the crew assisted with extricating the patient. The Rescue cleared the scene after the patient was loaded into the Ambulance.Units on scene with Finderne included Somerville Engine 4, Somerville Rescue Squad, Somerset MICU and the Somerville Police Department.
Friday, September 9, 2011 At 0951 Hrs, Finderne Fire and Bound Brook Rescue were dispatched to I 287 South at Exit 14 for the overturned motor vehicle with unknown injuries. Engine 102 was first due and arrived on a 2 car motor vehicle accident with one vehicle overturned. The crew from the Engine secured the vehicle's battery and provided patient care until BLS arrived. One subject was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Memorial Hospital in New Brunswick by Bound Brook Rescue and Somerset MICU. Somerset BLS also transported 3 subjects to Somerset Medical Center.
Monday, August 29, 2011 At 1342 Hrs, Finderne Fire was Dispatched to I 287 north in the area of Exit 13 for the motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Due to a conflict in the exact location, Sta. 26 and 56 from Franklin Dist. 1 and Sta. 25 from Franklin Dist . 3 also responded.Rescue 1 was first due and arrived on a 2 vehicle mva with 1 subject entrapped in each. Engine 101 and Engine 102 arrived shortly after. The Rescue went to work extricating the first subject while the crew from Engine 101 stood by for fire suppression. The crew from engine 102 went to work extricating the second car while an engine from 26 stood by for fire suppression. NJSP Medevac was dispatched to the scene for one victim at the request of Somerset MICU. Both subjects were extricated within 15 minutes and both transported to Robert Wood Johnson Memorial Hospital in New Brunswick.Units on scene with Finderne included Bound Brook Engine 1, Sta. 26, 56 and 25, 3 BLS units and 2 Medic Units from Somerset, NJSP and NJSP Northstar Medevac.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 Hurricane Irene rocked the entire East Coast Saturday night into Sunday. The Finderne Fire Dept responded to numerous calls during the past 24 hours including several water rescues from vehicles and several others that were stranded in the raging waters. The members were also involved in evacuations in Bound Brook. More info to come.

Friday, August 12, 2011 At 2152 Hrs, Rescue 1 was requested into Hillsborough Fire Dist on a FAST assignment to 3501 Richmond Ct. The Rescue was in service and arrived on a 3 1/2 story condo with heavy fire on the third floor and attic. The crew stood by for approx 10 minutes until they were advised to go to work while Sta. 28 arrived to relieve them of the FAST duties.The Rescue's crew was then split into 2 crews. 30-A4, Captain Marshall, took a crew in with a hand line and made entry into several rooms to conduct a search. 30-A5, Captain Ally, took his crew with another hand line and did the same. After all searches were negative, both crews began an aggressive interior attack on the 3rd floor apartment. Crews worked for approx. 30 minutes until they were relieved by another crew. The Rescue remained on scene until 0130 hrs to continue assisting.
